Today’s Marking – Line of Persephone Gift Marking
What: The Line of Persephone is a long headline that curves down into the Moon, or the outer lower quadrant of the hand. It is one of eighteen possible Gift Markings in the hands, and one of the more uncommon gifts.
See the image below. In mythology, Persephone was kidnapped by the god of the underworld and taken down deep into that dimension. She could only come up once a year, to visit her mother, and she brought other lost souls with her.
Master Path: Access to, and sharing, deep inner intuitive wisdom and dimensions of consciousness. Guide to lost souls…helping people who feel lost by first listening, then sharing your wisdom with permission. Persephones often are in touch with their child within, love children and children love them. Some Persephones love language, poetry, or even write poems.
Student Path: Not using this gift, not accessing and sharing this intuitive wisdom can result in suddenly feeling very lethargic, depressed, even captured or trapped, just like Persephone felt. Some Persephones experience the student path as having ‘mommy’ issues…overbearing mother, can’t make decisions without consulting Mom, etc.

A PERSONAL NOTE
Two hawks in the same tree! During my walk last week in Belmar Park, I heard an unusually loud sound above my head. I instinctively ducked, thinking a branch may be falling. But no, it was one of these hawks flapping its wings! I’ve never seen two hawks in the same tree, maybe it’s mating season? I think they might have been Cooper’s or Swainson’s hawks but I am certainly not even close to being an expert. I just like seeing them!
