Today’s Marking – Hermit heart line
Where: See the handprint below…. The heart line is the uppermost horizontal line across the hand, always originating at the outer edge under the pinky finger. Where it ends determines the type. The 4 basic heart line types are Big Heart, Hermit, Romantic Idealist, and Passionate. Last week I discussed the Big Heart.
The heart line pointed out below is a Social Hermit, which has some curve to it, and ends immediately under or just past the middle finger (no further than half-way between middle and index finger).
What: The owner of a Hermit or Social Hermit (Social basically means more outward display of emotion than a regular Hermit) shows love by doing things, by chivalry, with acts of service, and physical touch. Hermits show love through loyalty and reliability as well. And yes of course they can use words of affection! On the Master path, Hermits have high integrity and reliability, require a lot of alone-time to be the best they can be, need great freedom, and keep their deepest feelings close in until they trust. They need to reenergize alone, even though they may love gatherings and parties and groups. They are true introverts!
Student Path: Trust issues! Due primarily to their reliability, Hermits cannot relate to people who don’t follow through or do what they said they were going to do. Flake out twice and you’re out! A Hermit will be very challenged to trust you again.
I have 2 heart line types, which is common, and a Social Hermit is one of them. So, I experience and display, depending on which heart line I am in, varying degrees of outward emotion and love, regardless of how I’m feeling on the inside. Sometimes I’m all snuggly and romantic, sometimes I need my space. I have arranged my life around the freedom I need. Learning this about myself was so validating and explained SO much!
