Today’s Marking – The Big Heart
Where: See the handprint below…the heart line is the uppermost horizontal line across the hand, always originating at the outer edge under the pinky finger. Where it ends determines the heart line, or relationship, type. The 4 basic heart line types are Big Heart, Hermit, Romantic Idealist, and Passionate. They describe how you communicate in relationships (any kind), how you express love and affection, and how you prefer love and affection expressed to you.
The heart line pointed out below is a Big Heart, which starts under the pinky (as they all do) and ends immediately under or just inside (to the side of) the index finger.
What: The owner of a Big Heart loves to help others! They show love and affection by giving and sharing – time together, energy, dessert, money, and physical affection…snuggling a lot; yes, often sex too but not as much as another heart line type to be discussed in a later edition, the Passionate. Big Hearts are romantic, can be mushy, they are other-focused, nurturing, and emotionally sensitive. They are the ones who take in strays.
I have 2 heart line types, which is common, and Big Heart is one of them. Do I experience what I just described? Oh yeah! Actually, since I started this work, one of my heart lines has changed to a full Big Heart, which makes sense considering my work is entirely about helping others! I still feel the energy of the original line, as it is carved more deeply into my hand, so I’m still a mix of both types. I’ll write about my other heart line in my next ezine.
Are you a big heart? Be sure to take care of yourself and don’t over-give! As my heart line grew, during the first two years of my business, I gave gave gave and got super burned out. That is student path for sure. Now I’m much more careful about my boundaries and taking care of myself. I recommend the same for you! Another way the student path can show up is being receiving-challenged. That means not asking for help enough, and not accepting help when it is offered. Please say yes to help and let the Universe know you are open to support and receiving!

A PERSONAL NOTE
I do love to bake! Last weekend I tried a new recipe for blueberry cheesecake, here it is. I had a friend over a few nights later and we each had a piece, now I have to find recipients for the rest of it! And next time, try a new trick to keep the crust from getting soggy. It tasted good but I certainly prefer crunchy crust!
