Today’s Marking – Thumb Angle

Where: See the handprint…notice how wide the angle is between the thumb and the index (Jupiter) finger. And you can see there is still room to pull the thumb down even further to widen the angle more.

What: Thumb Angle of Opposition

Wide Angle: Industriousness, self-reliance, capability to get results, initiative, determination, likes a large territory to master, can see big vision. Yes this is my thumb, yes I know how to get stuff done, and yes I get tangled in my many student paths as well! Meaning pretty much the opposite of some the qualities above from time to time.

Narrow Angle: Desire less responsibility, possibly introverted, more inward focus, can be overwhelmed by obstacles, may hitch yourself to someone else’s wagon to go along for the ride without focus on what you want, or may be able to surrender to circumstances beyond your control (where wide-angle thumb person might fight the situation).

A PERSONAL NOTE

OUCH! This is what can happen while walking your horse, deciding to turn right but not using your blinker to warn him! Big horse, big bruise. Good news is that once the initial pain subsided, and I mean only about one minute, it hasn’t really bothered me. Phew! When I first started with horses I got both pinky toes broken by being stepped on. Inexperience = carelessness and not knowing what to watch out for. This kind of boo-boo happens every once in a while, it has been many years since I was stepped on, thank goodness. It’s just part of being around horses every day! #worthit
