Today’s Marking – Star of Tears
Where: A 6-pointed star in the Cup of Tears, near the center of the palm between the head and life line (pointed out below, top line is head line, lower line that goes around base of thumb is life line) near the middle of the palm, see below. The points of the star do not have to be symmetrical.
What: A Star of Tears is about sadness and grief.
Master path = Feels sad, perhaps cries, but knows there is an end to it and light at the end of tunnel. Feels okay to cry. Can empathize with others without it destroying you, without you ‘getting wet in their rain.’
Student path = Addicted to sadness; look for things to be sad about; cry frequently, or perhaps afraid to cry for fear of not being able to stop; shuts down feelings to avoid all the sadness, or overly sensitive and empathetic, enough so that it negatively impacts your life and ability to feel joy.

A PERSONAL NOTE
Yep that’s me! I’m guessing about 2 years old with my baby sister (at the time, eventually my mom added two more sisters and a brother for total 7 kids!) behind me in the highchair. Omg look at that curly hair! I’m told I would run screaming when mom came toward me with a hairbrush, I had a very sensitive scalp and still do! My hair has straightened somewhat over the years, and I keep it short which also reduces the curl. It still holds a good wave though.
